What was NAMMSAT?

NAMMSAT was established in 1994 as a collective group of practitioners who supported the increased participation and achievement by Māori in the fields of mathematics, science, engineering and technology. NAMMSAT aimed to facilitate the participation and achievement of Māori in the educational and commercial sectors, and in Research, Science and Technology (RS&T). NAMMSAT's potential was never quite realised, however, the grass roots enthusiasm and large support still exists.
